MadTech

I should have took pictures. There's was a nice crowd at the January MadTech. And a good time was had by all (unless they dispute me). We shared chips, salsa and seafood soup while discussing an array of things. Items that I can recall are the Madison Twestival for Charity: Water coming on 12 February. Amy of Urban League Greater Madison future move and how that relates to the expansion of its computer lab. Christine talked about DSL in Deerfield, as well as nonprofit use of social networks. Mike talked about Forward Community Investments. Peter shared about his Facebook application; and Eric about DaneNet and TechShop.

We went into a little discussion about what would be covered in next month's Google Apps workshop, as well as why the failure to keep various nonprofit technology projects alive and sustainable. The sustainability of technology for nonprofits and the fundraiser, Twestival were the to larger topics of conversation. At least that I caught.

February's meeting will be a discussion on using Google Apps. Flyers were distributed. Hope to see you there.
