Love to. I'm trying to put together some proposed dates. I'm review other User Groups normal meeting days, to try and find a good date. So far it looks like maybe 1st Monday, 1st Tuesday, Sundays, Fridays, and possible last Wednesdays.

I'm excluding Thursdays, cause I'm typically not available; and Saturdays cause they're notoriously bad for meetings that aren't activity based (like hiking, skiing, etc.

What days work best for you? Also what times?

And lastly, I was wondering how people feel about doing one focused meeting vs one social meeting. Maybe twice a month or every other month.

Wow! You are on it! If twice a month, 1 social mtg is fine. If only every other month then I'd skip the social meeting. Maybe 45 minutes could be for social and 45 minutes for discussion or presentation.

Sundays--no way. Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays--all good. (No pun intended)

Yeah! I figured Sunday's wouldn't go over to well. Giving up your weekend is hard. I'd be willing to do a longer meeting, so long as we didn't start to late. My days start early. I'm less coherent later in the day. :)

I should also mention the first meeting will be pretty informal. Meet, greet, some coffee or beverages, and discussion about what people would want or would like to see from the MadTech.

Will each meeting tackle a different issue? Should we mix issue/topical meetings w/ more social meetings? What about speakers and slightly more formal presentations?

Does that sound adequate enough?
